VJ battle & collective exploration invasive species and media.

For this participatory workshop Thomas Pausz invited participants to work explore the representation of invasive plant species in different popular media from video game to youtube. The teams were then introduced to the vintage VJaying software Modul 8, a software used in raves and techno-parties to project and deform video projections. This software was chosen for its way of multiplying, deforming and collaging images, as an analogy to the way invasive species ´remix´ landscapes. 

The workshop ended in a joyous multiple projector VJ battle, a joyous (dark) ecological mess.
