A Living Almanac of Appropriate Technologies

A Living Almanac of Appropriate Technologies is a collaboration with Evening Class, a collective of designers and artists based in London. The book was realised in parallel with Thomas Pausz’ residency at the Defina Foundation.

Evening Class invited Thomas to lead a workshop, scanning sections from his collection of The Whole Earth Review magazine according to themes developed in a collective discussion. The results of the workshop are published here, along with additional material by Thomas and Evening Class.

“A Living Almanac of Appropriate Technologies” is not just a book; it’s a guide to making informed choices in a world increasingly aware of sustainability. Whether you’re an eco-conscious designer, or simply curious about the intersection of technology and nature, this almanac offers valuable insights.
